STFU, girls from Glee. And by STFU, I really mean PUT ON THE REST OF YOUR GODDAMNED CLOTHES and START THINKING ABOUT YOUR CHOICES. Unless there are some pictures of an inappropriately underclad Cory Monteith that mysteriously didn’t make it in.. . I realize this is a lad mag we’re dealing with, so sadly I expect this kind of bullshit, but HELL. It’s sad that at least one of the girls wasn’t like, “Damn, he looks comfortable and warm. Do I have to show my bra and my underwear?” This shit is egregious and gross.
Sad.
LOL at “START THINKING ABOUT YOUR CHOICES”. Posing for a magazine usually leads to murder and prostitution. ITS A SLIPPERY SLOPE!
I cant believe people care about Glee in the first place. Like people have never seen bra and panties before. Get over yourself.
1 Glee is awesome for a multitude of reasons.
2 OH NO GIRLS ARE LOOKING SEXY AND USING IT TO SELL MAGAZINES!!!!! THIS IS TERRIBLE! If they really had that much of a problem with it, they would have covered up. I’m just bummed out that none of the guys arre good looking enough to justify a gender-equal version.
Also, the girls who play Mercedes and Santana are much better looking than the ones who play Quinn and Rachel imo.
I couldn’t care less that they’re in their bras and underwear. It’s more the fact that they feel that’s necessary while all the other guys from Glee…well, you don’t see them taking THEIR clothes off.
A clarification: THIS (to the last point). The problem is not that they’re taking sexy pictures in their underwear. The problem is not that they play teenagers on TV. In real life, they’re grown-ups taking grown-up pictures in a grown-up magazine. It’s ridiculous for people to be all, OH NOES BOOBIES or worse, OH NOES WHAT ABOUT THE BABBIES? Dianna Agron made a very good, rather funny point: what the hell is your eight-year-old doing with a copy of GQ in the first place?
ANYWAY. The problem with these photos (and others like them) is the huge discrepancy between what the women are wearing and what the man, in the same context, in the same setting, is wearing. That’s the problem. I thought the above photo illustrated this point particularly well. In the midst of all the “controversy” over this photo shoot, I didn’t want there to be any confusion on what my beef was. (Because, you know, surely everyone’s wondering.) Perhaps a more accurate would’ve been: STFU, sexist photographer.
